RM of P.A. declares state of emergency

The Rural Municipality of Prince Albert is joining the list of communities and RMs to declare a state of emergency.

An emergency board meeting was held Monday afternoon in response to the many residents currently without water. 

The city of Prince Albert shut off water to the P.A. Water Utility on Sunday. Residents have essentially been told they are on their own to find water, and have been directed to various locations including St. Louis and Shellbrook. 

According to a news release, the RM is hiring a consultant to address the water crisis, and find both a long and short term solution.

The RM residents are being told to check the RM website for updates, as well as its Facebook page. Anyone with questions can also call the RM office or the P.A. Water Utility office.
