Lumsden residents concerned with rising waters

Apr 14, 2011 | 6:45 AM

Lumsden residents are watching anxiously as water levels from the Qu'Appelle River continue to rise.

Farmer fields look like lakes, the “Snack Shack” is completely surrounded by water, and homes are being threatened.

Casey Fry is helping a friend prepare his home in case it gets hit. He can't believe the amount of water.

“I've never seen the water this high before,” said Fry. “It's crazy. It's unreal. You stand on top of the hill and look down, it looks like a big lake.”
