Santa arrives in P.A.

Nov 28, 2015 | 3:05 PM

Santa has arrived in Prince Albert on his yearly trip to find out what children want for Christmas.

He set himself up in the Gateway Mall and brought a camera man with him. No elves unfortunately.

The jolly northerner sat patiently for hours as child after child came up to him to let him know what to have the elves make.

Some children were a little shy at first, but some calm words from Santa and a funny prop from the camera man got them smiling.

When asked what they wanted for Christmas, almost every little boy and girl said they wanted “everything.”

Riley Parenteau, there with his family, wanted something that made this reporter nostalgic for his own youth.

“I wanted to tell Santa that I want a box of Pokemon packs,” Riley said.

Riley’s mother Jamie said it was just as exciting to see Santa with her kids as it was when she was young. “It’s still the same, it’s still exciting. I remember it was so exciting to tell him what I wanted.

“And the treats at the end were the best.”
