Blades too much for Raiders

Apr 2, 2011 | 10:05 PM

The Saskatoon Blades would erupt for four power play goals and a six goal second period, on their way to an 8-0 win, and a 3-2 lead over the Prince Albert Raiders in this best of seven opening round WHL playoff series.

Curtis Hamilton got a pair to lead the Saskatoon parade as they scored six unanswered in that middle frame after a heroic 19-save effort by Jamie Tucker in the first period.

Eric Williams would come on to play the third period. He would give up two goals on 13 shots.

The Blades win it going away, going five for eight on the power play on their way to an 8-0 win.
