RCMP locate person of interest in missing woman case

Jun 15, 2015 | 3:12 PM

The RCMP have found a man they believe may have information pertaining to the case of a missing Prince Albert woman.

On Tuesday night, the RCMP confirmed they had located Raymond Knife, a man thought to have information about the whereabouts of Danielle Nyland. The RCMP have not disclosed why they were seeking him.

Nyland, 22, went missing after leaving an East Flat social gathering in the early morning hours last Monday. She was last seen around Shellbrook the same day, around 7:30 a.m., and since then, homeowners living around 9.5 kilometres from the community found her cellphone at the end of the driveway.

The RCMP is still looking for the owner of a white pick-up truck who possibly had a truck stolen in the Prince Albert or Shellbrook area.

The RCMP stated anyone with a similar truck, maybe a Dodge, to check on its status and to notify police if it’s been stolen.

This is directly related to the investigation into Nyland’s disappearance, which means people should not delay notifying police if they’ve discovered a theft.

She may have been wearing a white jacket, black leggings and a black tank top with a pattern on it, according to the RCMP.

Nyland’s bank and social media accounts have had no activity since she was reported missing. She also has not had any contact with family or friends, which is not typical.

The police are urging the public to contact them if they know about Nyland’s current whereabouts, or have information on the truck.

The RCMP can be contacted at 306-747-2606 or Crime Stoppers can be used anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
