Hwy 55 rollover leads to STARS landing, 2 in hospital

Two people were injured when their vehicle rolled over on Highway 55 on Sunday morning near the Rural Municipality of Garden River.

The accident happened after 7 a.m., 23 kilometres east of Prince Albert.

The Prince Albert Fire Department (PAFD) reported it responded with five firefighters to the single-vehicle rollover. According to the PAFD’s Facebook post, they had to “extricate” one person from a vehicle, which was in the ditch.

They then set up a landing area for a STARS air ambulance to land and remove that injured person from the scene.

According to Parkland Ambulance, whose paramedics also responded to the scene, a 48-year-old man sustained serious injuries and a 33-year-old woman with non-serious injuries were taken to hospital for treatment.

Sunday night accident

A crash near Crutwell on Sunday night, just after 9:30 p.m., landed one person in hospital. .

Parkland Ambulance reports a man was taken by ambulance to hospital in good condition.
