PBCN prepares for election

Mar 30, 2015 | 12:04 PM

The eight communities that make up Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation will go to the polls on April 14.

There are three people vying for the position of chief.  They are incumbent Peter Beatty, former Chief Darrell McCallum, and Karen Bird from Southend.

In the last election in 2013, Beatty won by a margin of 400 votes, defeating Harold Linklater.

Former Chief McCallum had opted not to seek re-election after three consecutive terms.
