Saskatoon is setting the example on how to care for the environment.

That's according to the latest World Wildlife Federation list of top ten Canadian cities doing their part when it comes to green initiatives.

Josh Laughren with WWF credits Saskatoon with reducing emissions, adding hybrid buses, and solar panels to community buildings.

“There's a green energy park at the landfill site and plans to bring on more renewable energy into the grid,” said Laughren. “So you put that all together and Saskatoon had a number of actions, policies, and commitments that really brought it out as one of the municipal leaders across Canada on climate change.”
