7 Jubilee Lodge residents hit with respiratory illness

Residents of Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino are under visitor restrictions.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region implemented the restrictions after an outbreak of a respiratory illness that is currently affecting seven residents.

Lab tests are currently being undergone and individuals showing symptoms are being isolated.

Visitors should reschedule visits until the outbreak is declared over. However, the PAPHR said if family members have an urgent reason to visit, they can phone the facility for instructions.

To reduce the risk of spreading respiratory illness the PAPHR reminds everyone that proper hand hygiene and cough etiquette is vital.
