Police seeking footage in investigation of violent assault

The Prince Albert Police Service is asking for the public’s help as it collects video surveillance footage related to an aggravated assault  that left a 47-year-old woman seriously injured.

On Sunday, police went to the 1200 block of First Avenue West to respond to a reported aggravated assault. There, they found Marlene Darlene Bird. She was taken to hospital in Prince Albert, and has since been transferred to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton.

Bird is currently listed in stable condition.

Police continue to investigate – conducting interviews and reviewing surveillance footage.
