Feb 18, 2011 | 3:52 PM

One person is dead after a house fire in Northern Saskatchewan.

The fire was reported to RCMP yesterday at about 8 p.m. on the Canoe Lake Cree Nation, located about 250 kilometres north of Prince Albert.

After firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control, a body was discovered inside the home, said RCMP in a news release Friday.

The identity, gender and age of the person won’t be determined until an autopsy is preformed next week.
