More people using EI

There are signs of higher numbers of people collecting unemployment benefits.

EI beneficiaries in Saskatchewan were up in November by just over half a per cent from October. It's still better than 2009, a decrease of six and a half percent from the previous November.

But the numbers of people filing new claims and renewals can be an indicator of future statistics and in November the number of claims was up two per cent from October and more than four per cent from a year earlier.
