Crash near Meadow Lake kills elderly woman

An accident on Highway 55 near Meadow Lake has claimed the life of an elderly woman.

Around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, RCMP were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash about 10 km east of Meadow Lake.

A passenger in one of the cars, Mary Ross, 82, was pronounced dead at the scene. Roderick Ross, 79, was driving and was taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, 40-year-old Dale Turenne, was also transported to RUH with serious injuries.
