Stolen truck driving wrong way attracts Regina police

A half ton truck heading north up Albert street — in the southbound lanes — brought a lot of calls to Regina police Sunday night.

It happened around 9 p.m. in south Regina near Gordon Road.

Police tell us they quickly discovered the vehicle was stolen.

Five young people — four boys and a girl — jumped from the vehicle at Albert Street and 31st Avenue just as police officers and three police dogs arrived.

Police say they had lots of help from citizens in the area and had the five young people in custody a short time later .
