UPDATE: Bone found turns out to be deer

A piece of bone discovered by a construction crew in Prince Albert has turned out to be nothing more than a piece of deer vertebrae.

Workers stumbled across the bone and other materials yesterday morning while digging a hole for a new sign along River Street. They called the police after the discovery, who conducted tests on the materials found.

Police say what the workers were digging through was an old trash pile.
