United Church of Canada responds to negative feedback

Jun 15, 2012 | 11:06 AM

At a church council meeting the Calvary United Church in Prince Albert decided not to make a statement about any negative feedback they received for their pride service.

The church Reverend Nora Vedress said getting into a debate through the media isn’t going to accomplish anything.

The United Church of Canada Saskatchewan Conference sent out a press release stating their support for the service.

“Saskatchewan Conference applauds the congregation,” the release says, “and supports them in their continued steps to live out our belief that God’s love is for all.”
