Federal Government comes through for First Nations veterans

First Nations families in Saskatchewan will receive funding from federal government to map unmarked graves.

An initial $25,000 will start the mapping of unmarked First Nations graves.

The Saskatchewan First Nations Veterans Association will now begin the process of deciding where work will begin.

There are an estimated 200 unmarked graves in the province.

More than a dozen were located on the James Smith Cree Nation, east of Prince Albert.
