Not so discreet water usage

There’s been mixed reaction to the city’s request for discretionary water usage while construction is underway at the water treatment plant.

However, even with this request unnecessary water use activities like car washes hasn’t seen much of a change said Nicholas Kalika for the CO-OP gas station at Marquis Road.

“Nothing has affected that yet. It’s been going good all weekend,” he explained.

“People come in and ask if it’s running because of the water shortage. That’s about it.”

Some people have voiced their concerns about the over use of water on paLIVE’s public forum but Kalika said they were never advised to shut down the car wash.

When asked if there have been negative comments about allowing the car wash to stay open he said no.
