Two car collision on 6th Avenue and 22nd Street West

There was a two car collision on 6th Avenue and 22nd Street West around 10:30 a.m. today.

Emergency vehicles were on scene quickly.

Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.  They are expected to be released later today.

6th Avenue West was blocked while emergency crews assessed the scene.

After a preliminary investigation police said it appears that a traffic control sign was disregarded, leading to the collision of the two vehicles.

They also believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in the collision.

Police are continuing to investigate.
