Roughriders trade Hugh Charles to Edmonton

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have traded Hugh Charles to the Edmonton Eskimos.

The Roughriders receive a conditional draft pick in 2014.

Charles has been a player many fans have wanted to see get a larger role within the Roughriders offense but has never been granted much of an opportunity.

The diminuitive running back played in six games this season. Charles has tallied 242 yards on 38 carries. He also had 296 yards on 14 kickoff returns in 2011.
