Two more arrested in Sask. drug case

Two more people are facing charges stemming from the Project Forseti drug investigation.

RCMP and Saskatoon police conducted a series of raids on Jan. 14 in Saskatchewan and Alberta. 

Those raids targeted the Fallen Saints and Hells Angels motorcycle clubs.  At the time, 14 men were taken into custody.

Now, police report that 30-year-old Ruslan Jamal Bakuridze and 29-year-old  Adam Harada, both of British Colombia, have been arrested.

The pair turned themselves in to Saskatoon police, according to a media release.

Both are charged with trafficking methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.  Fentanyl has been of concern in Saskatoon due to a rash of deaths linked to the drug.

Harada and Bakuridze are also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Harada faces an additional charge of trafficking cocaine.

The two appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Monday afternoon.
