Adults charged after baby found hurt on the Gordon First Nation

Two adults have been charged after a baby was found seriously hurt on the Gordon First Nation.

On Thursday, Mounties were notified that an eight-month-old boy was taken to the Regina General Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Charged are 39-year-old Bradley Moosemay and 28-year-old Jennifer Moosemay — both of the Gordon First Nation.

They're charged with aggravated assault and failure to provide the necessities of life.

Sgt. Paul Dawson says the little boy's injuries were not life threatening, but they did cover his tiny body.

“The two charged were not the parents of the child but were intrusted with the care of the child at the time of the alleged offence,” he said.

The accused are to appear in court Tuesday in Punnichy.

The Gordon First Nation is about 120 kilometers northeast of Regina.
