Prince Albert Fire Department crews were still on site this morning after getting an early wake-up call.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. firefighters were called to a house on the 400 block of 12th Street West.

"It's a two-storey structure that was fully involved,” Battalion Chief Gerald Parks told paNOW. “In the exterior, we got it quickly knocked down. On the interior attack, we continue with firefighting operations and hotspots."

Shortly before 10 a.m. Parks said 12th Street remained closed off between fourth and fifth.

The owner was not in the house at the time at the fire. No one was injured and the cause is still under investigation.

“Crews are doing salvage and overhaul operations to check for any remaining hotspots,” Parks said.
