Police searching for inmate
Police are searching for an inmate after he did not return from a temporary absence taken Jan. 5.
Jonathon Wade Benson, born 1986, was scheduled to return to the Prince Albert Correctional Centre from his absence on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m.
He was in the process of serving six months for one charge of common assault and one charge of breaching probation. The Pierceland detachment was notified and he is not considered a threat to public safety.
Benson is described as having brown eyes, black hair stands 6’1″ and weighs 161 lbs. He has a cross tattoo on his right arm and three cigarette burns on his left hand.
