Vehicle falls through ice near Esterhazy

Feb 27, 2012 | 12:07 PM

Despite the freezing temperatures that came through Saskatchewan over the weekend a vehicle went through the ice on Sunday.

The incident occurred near Esterhazy on West End Resort on Round Lake, around noon, near a river mouth where the current made the ice thinner.

The person inside the vehicle was able to get out before it sunk to the bottom of the lake.

Mounties are reminding people the ice conditions can change with weather and river conditions.
