Trial set for man accused of stealing vehicle, abandoning child

The man accused of stealing an SUV with a 3-year-old child inside and then allegedly leaving the child in an alley, is pleading not guilty.
20-year-old Colin Umpherville is facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle and abandoning a child.
A local couple found the young boy wandering and called the police, eventually reuniting the boy with his father.
The court has ordered a publication ban on the evidence given at court today in order for Umpherville to receive a fair trial.
Umpherville is remanded until his trial in December.
