P.A. Royals take first place in provincial tournament

A local baseball team is bringing home a gold medal.
The Prince Albert Royals under 11 team clinched first place in the tier three AA Baseball Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament this weekend in Kindersley. The P.A. squad finished the round robin in second place which got them to the semifinals where they topped the LIoydminister Twins by a score of 12-2.
To clinch the title, the Royals got past Meadow Lake Sox by a score of 3-2.
The team had strong pitching in the semifinals from Carter Krip, who pitched a complete game. In the championship game Owen Willie pitched four innings with Willis Finch closing it out.
