Avenging father case proceeds to trial at Court of King’s Bench

Oct 26, 2026 | 6:00 AM

A trial is proceeding this week at Court of King’s Bench in Prince Albert for a man accused of murdering his son’s alleged killer.

Reginald Durocher will be tried by a jury and the allotted dates for the trial are Oct. 26 to Nov. 4.

In relation to the April 2023 death of Ryan Clark, Durocher stands accused of second-degree murder.

Clark was killed outside a liquor store at Northside, just south of the Christopher Lake turn-off.

He was the victim of a direct hit by a pickup truck, captured on nearby store surveillance cameras.

In 2016, Reginald Durocher’s son Christopher died by homicide and the man who was charged and later convicted – Ryan David Clark – was released from custody in late 2022 after the Supreme Court ordered a new trial.

According to court records, the charge was stayed by the Crown on April 23, 2023, shortly after he was killed.

Durocher has been in custody since the incident at the Northside bar and was denied bail in June 2023.
