Scheer to make several stops in Sask.

As the Federal election date draws closer, the leader of the Conservative Party will be making several stops in Saskatchewan Thursday including Prince Albert, Big, River, Meadow Lake and Debden.

According to a media release from Andrew Scheer’s office, he is expected to talk about the party’s plans to remove GST from home heating bills, and introducing a green homes tax credit. Scheer is also expected to discuss the carbon tax and tax free maternity and paternity leave.

Scheer has been scheduled to appear for a meet and greet at the Art Hauser Centre (Ches Leach Lounge) at 10 a.m. He will then travel to Debden where he plans to speak at The Ranch at 12:30 p.m. His next scheduled stop is at the Big River Legion Hall at 2 p.m. and he will wrap up his day in Meadow Lake at the Catholic Church Hall at 5 p.m.

The federal election date is Oct. 21.
