Saskatchewan most confident province

The most confident Canadian consumers can be found in Saskatchewan, according to a Harris-Decima Investor's Group year end report.

It shows that people in Saskatchewan and Manitoba feel the best about their financial situation, but our positive outlook did take a hit through the summer months.

“It was one of the wettest summers that I remember and certainly if you are in the agricultural sector that would be playing on your mind.” said Investor's Group Assistant Vice-President Jack Courtney.

However, the study shows that in the last two months, our economic confidence has bounced back and still remains the strongest in the country.

“We are seeing a strong uptake again at the end of the year which can only be a good thing,” Courtney explains.

The study also found that Ontario is starting to rebound as well, and that British Columbia consumers are the least confident about their financial futures.
