Prince Albert continues to have a cat crisis and the Prince Albert SPCA is once again in need of the public’s help. The SPCA is over capacity with 68 cats in its care. Yesterday alone 14 cats and kittens came into the shelter.

“As long as we are over capacity, we are asking the citizens of Prince Albert that find a stray cat to please not bring it to the SPCA,” said Debbie Lehner, Manager of the Prince Albert SPCA. “We are asking the public to house any stray cats they find. You can contact the SPCA to notify us and as kennels are freed up, we will let you know so you can bring the cats in”.

The amount of cats coming into the shelter greatly impacts the SPCA finances.  It is costly to house, feed and provide medical care for these cats. “Any financial assistance from the public would be greatly appreciated,” said Lehner.
