Team Canada takes the opening game

It’s a 14th straight win for Canada in opening games for the World Juniors today.

With five points, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins led the game early this morning.

Along with Nugent-Hopkins, Mark Scheifele scored twice, and coming up behind the two with a goal and two assists was Jonathan Huberdeau.

Team Canada will play next on Friday against Slovakia at 3 a.m. Saskatchewan time.
