Suspicious death on Moosomin First Nation

RCMP from the North Battleford Rural Detachment are investigating a death on the Moosomin First Nation, north of the city.

They were called early Saturday afternoon after a man was found dead.

The man was reported missing by his family on Friday, May 29. After a search by community members and family, the man’s body was discovered.

Police are now investigating what led up to the death. In a release, they said they are treating the death as suspicious and the matter is being investigated with assistance from the Major Crime Unit, North Battleford Forensic Identification Unit and General Investigation Section, as well as Saskatoon Police Dog Services.
