PA Pride Week Continues

PA Pride Week continues with many events including:

June 3rd

Queer and Christian without Contradiction  is an opn discussion of the Bible from a Queer and Christian perspective. All opinions/viewpoints are welcomed. This will be at the  Calvary United Church from 7pm – 9pm
 
June 4th 

Pistos Waskochepayis Vol4 Lite is a mini Two-Spirit /Queer film and new media festival

 Hosted by the Indigenous Peoples Artist Collective
Curated by Gary Varro 

in partnership with the Prince Albert Q-network, Queer City Cinema Regina, and the Mann Art Gallery. This event is at 8pm – 10pm at the Mann Art Gallery 

This year the festival presents the feature length film “Kuma Hina”/produced by Dean Hamer.

KUMU HINA is a powerful film about the struggle to maintain Pacific Islander culture and values within the Westernized society of modern day Hawaiʻi. It is told through the lens of an extraordinary Native Hawaiian who is both a proud and confident māhū, or transgender woman, and an honored and respected kumu, or teacher, cultural practitioner, and community leader.

This is proudly supported by the Saskatchewan Arts Board, Saskculture/Sasklotteries, and the Canada Council for the Arts
 
June 5th

Social:  Carpool to Saskatoon for the “Coming Out Party” at OUTSaskatoon (The Avenue Community Centre).  We are leaving at 5pm. Contact 306-940-6836 to arrange a ride.
 
June 6th

Parade and Festival
Line-up at 12:30pm in parking lot of Court House by Central Ave bridge, parade leaves at 1pm and ends in Kinsmen Park, followed by  guest speakers and entertainment.
 Headliner is Constant Reminder!

 June 7th 

We are having our potluck and AGM at 1322 Central Avenue at 5:30pm.
