Police use Taser on allegedly violent man

Police in Prince Albert used a Taser subdue a 21-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a patron at the Alfred Jenkins Field House, then an arresting officer.

The man had allegedly become violent with a patron at the facility in the 2700 block of 10th Avenue West. According to police, the man continued to be a threat to the public.

Officers arrived on scene at around 8 p.m., and while trying to arrest him, the man allegedly became violent while resisting arrest.

The police used a conducted energy device (CED), or Taser, on the man. He was taken into custody without further incident.
