Man’s disappearance, car fire, believed to be connected

Police in Prince Albert and the RCMP believe a car fire in the Rural Municipality of Buckland and a local man’s disappearance are related to each other.

Troy Cecil Napope, 23, was last seen in Prince Albert on May 28, but there is no information about where in the city he was last sighted.

The car fire was reported on the morning of May 28. It happened on Whitfield Road, just north of Highway 3. The RCMP describe the vehicle as a grey 2004 four-door Pontiac Grand Prix.

The RCMP are now asking the public to come forward with information about any suspicious activity they may have witnessed in that area in the early morning hours of May 28. Police are also seeking information about activities relating to the vehicle and its occupants that may have taken place between the evening of May 27 and the morning of May 28.
