Water advisory lifted for North Battleford

Aug 18, 2015 | 4:23 PM

Residents of North Battleford will no longer have to boil their water now that the precautionary drinking water advisory has been lifted.

Samples collected by city staff were sent to a laboratory and tested negative for any contamination.

The test was then sent to the Saskatchewan Water Security Agency Tuesday morning, who ended the advisory.

The advisory went up a week ago when thousands of litres of partially treated water ended up going into clean water at one of the city’s filtration plants. The facility was shut down and its main lines were flushed.
