Man and boy facing charges after fiery crash on Idylwyld Drive in Saskatoon
A 24-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy are facing charges after a fiery crash on Idylwyld Drive in Saskatoon on Tuesday, which left an 82-year-old man in critical condition.
According to police, officers were called to the intersection of Idylwyld and 58th Street West just after 8 a.m. after getting reports from Corman Park Police that a Dodge Durango SUV was driving erratically and was heading into the city via Highway 11.
“While responding, further updates outlined that the Durango had collided with a Ford Transit van south of the highway 16 overpass on Idylwyld Drive,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“The van subsequently caught fire and the driver, an 82-year-old male, was transported to hospital with critical injuries.”
