Saskatchewan quarterback Darian Durant learned of the twins’ fight and wanted to help out after hearing the family would have to quit their jobs and move away to take a chance on a cure.

The twins’ parents Danny and Melissa Surine have decided the babies will take part in a drug trial for a new medication that could be used to slow down, stop or even cure the disease.

The Surine family will have to give up their jobs and move to Vancouver for 14 months.

Durant will be at a fundraiser for the twins on Sunday in Saskatoon at Rock Creek Tap and Grill, where people will have the opportunity to watch the game with the quarterback. Organizers will be auctioning off a chance to golf with Rob Bagg and Weston Dressler.

Game Day with Wray will broadcast live from Rock Creek in Stonebridge. Pre-game coverage starts at 10 a.m.
