P.A. Minor Football is hosting an open Pass, Punt, & Kick competition for ages 9 to 14 TODAY, Saturday, September 26th, starting at 1:00 pm on the field between Crescent Heights Arena and Diefenbaker School on Branion Drive.

No previous football experience is needed to participate in this fun, friendly competition.

It’s FREE to enter, and your child could WIN an expenses paid trip to the last Roughrider home game of the season!

The competitors will be divided into three age groups; 14 & under, 12 & under, and 10 & under, with separate boys and girls divisions in each age group. Winners from the P.A. Minor Football event and winners from local schools who have also elected to hold a Pass, Punt & Kick event will advance to a regional final, which will take place on October 3rd, also on the same field, and also starting at 1:00 pm.

Winners of the regional event advance to a provincial final in Saskatoon on October 17th. Winners of the provincial finals receive an expenses paid trip to the final Saskatchewan Roughrider home game of the 2015 season on October 24th, where they will be presented with plaques during the pre-game ceremonies.

Even though the Pass, Punt & Kick competition is a FREE event, organizers ask that competitors please register in advance online at www.pariverriders.com, so that they can plan for the resulting size of group.

Pass Punt & Kick competitions have been promoting basic football skills for over 40 years across the province. Pass Punt & Kick competitions are sponsored by Football Saskatchewan, SaskTel, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Competitions have traditionally been held as an optional activity in elementary schools, but the number of schools participating in Prince Albert has been declining, prompting Prince Albert Minor Football to organize this event primarily for children who wish to participate, but attend schools that have declined to have their own competition.
