Whitecaps create chances, but can’t score in 1-0 loss to Colorado
VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Whitecaps did a lot of things well, they just weren’t good enough to score the goals they needed in a 1-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids Sunday.
The Whitecaps controlled the ball, dominated play and created chances but couldn’t put a shot past Colorado goalkeeper Tim Howard as the Rapids won their first road game of the Major League Soccer season.
“It hurts,” said Vancouver centre back Doneil Henry. “I thought we really did dominate today.
“We did everything right, we played really well. We don’t score, we don’t win.”
