While they are advisory only in nature, and have no decision-making authority, Collaborative Groups are designed to provide administration with valuable community input, ideas, and feedback that may inform policies, programs, projects, and recommendations to city council.

The groups also promote collaboration and help ensure a variety of voices and experiences are considered in municipal decision-making.

“The purpose of the new initiative is to deliver service excellence through creative problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration with residents and partners,” said City Clerk Savannah Price. “Collaborative Groups create a new avenue for community members to share their perspectives and help inform the work of the City. By bringing together diverse voices and experiences, we can build stronger relationships and make more informed decisions that benefit Prince Albert.”

Participation is voluntary, and groups may be established for a specific project, issue, or area of interest identified by the City.
