Occupant seriously injured after stolen vehicle rolls while fleeing RCMP
One occupant of a stolen vehicle is in serious condition in the hospital after the driver fled from police instead of stopping. The other occupant suffered less serious injuries.
Prince Albert RCMP said an officer on patrol saw a vehicle commit a traffic offence on June 6 at about 9:30 p.m. at Highway 2 and Northside Grid Road.
The officer activated the emergency lights and tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away along the grid road. It later rolled.
According to Lakeland Fire, their crews reached the scene four kms south of Christopher Lake at about 9:45 p.m. Once there, firefighters split tasks with one crew setting up a landing zone for STARS Ambulance and the other crew doing traffic control.
