One home flooded by Shell River, two more in danger
The RM of Buckland has confirmed that one home has flooded and two more are in danger as local waterways continue to overflow their banks.
The hardest hit area looks to be Shell River Heights, which was evacuated yesterday and where the flooded home is.
Buckland said it is in the process of installing flood prevention systems in Shell River Heights area, working with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, the Buckland Fire Department and the Wahpeton Band Council along with a number of volunteers.
The RM said it is still experiencing road closures through their entire municipality and is warning residents and drivers to be alert for washed out roads and flooding concerns.
