Team Sask. upended by Einarson for second straight loss at Scotties

For a second game in a row, the shots were not falling for Jolene Campbell and Team Saskatchewan at the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Playing their fifth game of the week on Tuesday afternoon in Mississauga, Ont., Team Campbell struggled against Kerri Einarson and Team Canada suffering a 10-4 loss.

Team Saskatchewan struggled mightily with the hammer against Team Canada, as they saw a 2-1 deficit grow to 4-1 after giving up steals in both the third and fourth ends.

After scoring a pair themselves in the fifth end to cut down the gap to 4-3, the Campbell rink consisting of Campbell at skip, Robyn Silvernagle at third, Rachel Big Eagle at second and lead Dayna Demmans, watched on as Einarson made good on a pair in the sixth end before stealing another two in the seventh end.

The team only converted on 77 per cent of their shot attempts Tuesday, with Campbell struggling on her final throws at just 64 per cent.

The loss has dropped Team Campbell’s record in Ontario to 2-3 on the week, now sitting on the outside of the playoff picture in Pool A.

Team Saskatchewan had also just come off a humbling 7-2 loss to the Jolianne Fortin rink out of Quebec on Monday night.

Campbell and her rink are looking to become the first Saskatchewan rink to win the Scotties since Amber Holland did it in 2011. Campbell was the alternate on that team.

Next up for Team Saskatchewan will be a busy Wednesday at the Scotties starting with an 8 a.m. tilt against Bayly Scoffin and Team Yukon, before facing the Hailey Armstrong rink out of Ontario at 6 p.m.

The rest of their round-robin schedule is as follows:

• Jan. 28, vs. Yukon, 8 a.m.
• Jan. 28, vs. Ontario, 6 p.m.
• Jan. 29, vs. Manitoba, 1 p.m.
