Dec 12, 2025 | 10:24 AM

Prince Albert Police are investigating videos taken late yesterday evening that shows a man in a very vulnerable state outdoors in freezing conditions.

Three security guards can be seen in one of the videos, pushing the man in the chair back towards the parking area. A second video shared by the same online profile shows a man laying on the sidewalk outside of Victoria Square, a restaurant and officer area near the hospital, but it’s unclear which event occurred first.

The temperature Thursday night at the time of the incident was near -25C and a windchill of -36C.

The profile, belonging to Courtney Daniels, then comments that workers from Mobile Crisis saw him and called police, who picked him up.

Police said that they were called to the area just before 11 pm for a disturbance. They found an intoxicated man lying in the snow. They assessed him and made sure he was medically evaluated and said he was being evicted from the premises before they arrived.

Officers are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including what led up to him being outside and the content in the videos, shared on local social media pages.

According to a statement provided by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), an individual who was disruptive in the emergency department waiting room, was escorted from the building.

“The SHA is reviewing this situation with our security provider to ensure all proper processes were followed, and these processes maintain a safe environment for staff and patients, while supporting individuals who may need connection to additional services outside of the hospital. Our goal is always to provide compassionate, appropriate support and to identify opportunities to strengthen our approach in future.”
