P.A. lacrosse standouts keep adding to resume
A pair of Prince Albert lacrosse talents are continuing to further their stride in the sport.
Crosby Ratt made headlines earlier this week after being named Goalie of the Year and a First Team All-Star in the Rocky Mountain Jr. A Lacrosse League (RMJALL) while Jaite Bexson just returned from Ontario following his tryout for the U15 Canada Futures national team.
Ratt played the most games out of any goaltender in the Rocky Mountain League this season, suiting up in all 16 contests for the Saskatchewan SWAT while starting in 15 of those games. Despite a 3-12-1 (W-L-T) record on the year, the 18-year-old made a league-high 692 saves between the pipes, which helped him finish with a 10.93 goals against average (GAA) and a .766 save percentage (SV%). He also ended the year with the most minutes played at 889, finishing more than 200 minutes more than second place who had 667.
“With the lack of team success, I wasn’t expecting to see an award go my way,” said Ratt, adding it was surreal when he found out he won via an announcement on the league’s Instagram page.
