Canada ended the round-robin at the World Junior Hockey Championship with a 3-2 win over the United States in Edmonton.
Canada jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period of play, but the Americans realised they were still playing and made a game of it, eventually scoring two points.
Canada forward Brendan Gallagher says it was a good test for the team heading into the medal round.
The team will now advance to the semi-finals set to take place in Calgary.
