Woman attacked at Prince Albert hotel and hit with hammer: police

A 24 year-old man is facing a number of charges after a woman was attacked and reportedly hit in the head with a hammer.

On Feb. 3, at approximately 7 p.m. members of the Prince Albert police service were called to a hotel in the 3200 block of Second Avenue West.

The victim was located soon after and was transported to Victoria hospital by Parkland Ambulance with serious injuries before being transferred to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

Two children were also located at the scene and were taken into the care of Mobile Crisis.

Officers searched the area and were not initially able to locate the suspect; however, at approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday, officers located the suspect in the 3200 block of Second Avenue West where he was quickly arrested.

As a result, Cameron Wolfe has been charged with aggravated assault, choking and forcible confinement.

He appeared Tuesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court, and was then remanded to Wednesday.
