A third person has been arrested and charged following a pair of carjackings that occurred last October outside Prince Albert.

Bruno Bear was not present when his case was discussed Friday morning at provincial court and adjourned to Jan. 20.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 17, two individuals in a vehicle, driving on Garden River Road, northeast of the city, approached a vehicle whose occupants appeared in need of assistance. When they stopped, a male threatened the individuals with a firearm and stole their vehicle.

No physical injuries were reported by the two individuals.

Prince Albert Police Service later received a report of a robbery near Little Red River Park. Their investigation determined two individuals were threatened with a firearm and assaulted, then their vehicle was stolen.

One of the suspect vehicles then struck a vehicle within the City of Prince Albert and fled. No injuries were reported by the occupants of the struck vehicle.

In relation to the two files, Bear is facing 16 charges and include robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The two co-accused, Melissa McCallum and Angus Heathen, also had their matters spoken to on Friday and were also adjourned to Jan. 20

McCallum and Heathen were also charged in connection to a separate car jacking that occurred the following week on White Star Road and involved the shooting of Orlan Peterson.

A third suspect wanted on that file, Dallas Fulton, remains missing.
